Real Kit Cars

There are many kit cars inspired by the original Lotus 7 including those by Westfield which are now available as fully built sports cars. My friend Jon's kit car is a Robin Hood and he built it himself for use on the road and on the track. It is very quick!

To get the most out of your car you should take it to a track day at a racing circuit such as Llandow like Jon did. Look at the excessive body roll!

TrustPA Westfield Kit Car

Westfields are similar to Caterhams as they are both inspired by the Lotus 7. This Westfield competes in the 750 motor club kit car championships for CustardTartRacing. It was built by PA. I saw and photographed this Westfield when it was attracting attention at a TrustPA publicity stall. TrustPA was set up in memory of PA, who died after a rugby accident, to help spinally injured people.

Others Kit Cars

I am not sure what exactly these sports / kit cars are, but some have badges saying Lotus and have grills in the shape of a "7". These cars however are actually used for racing, not just on the road or even track days. They were all photographed at Castle Combe.
